Native macOS · Open-source preview
A little closer
to your work.
One shortcut. The window you’re working in.
A quiet place to ask,
without starting over.
The demo is scripted. No AI, accounts or app access required.
Meet Whisper.
The small bar with the whole window in mind.
Return to ask · Shift Return for a new line · Esc to close
Prompts stay in this tab. No model calls, tracking or real app control.
NATIVE BY DESIGN
Stay where the work is.
No new workspace to set up. No context to rebuild.
Your window, first.
The native shortcut captures the target before the bar opens. Ask about what’s in front of you, not an empty chat.
Small until you need more.
A single-line bar near the bottom of your display. Answers grow upward. Follow-ups keep the conversation together.
Boundaries, not guesswork.
Pinned identity, explicit permissions and no automatic replay of uncertain input. Visual presets never change authority.
A MAC APP. NOT A WEB WRAPPER.
Feels at home.
Leaves room for you.
Swift and AppKit. System type, native editing and Apple glass where supported. Clear, Frost, Graphite, Warm and Contrast — or just follow your Mac.
Reduce Transparency, Increase Contrast and Reduce Motion take priority. The interface stays quiet.
The browser demo uses HTML, not the native material. Don’t use the native shortcut for this web demo.
OPEN SOURCE · STILL IN PREVIEW
Try the idea.
Build the real thing.
The Mac port is available as source. A self-contained notarized installer isn’t published yet. The upstream contribution is a draft, with acceptance limits documented.
Is this demo actually using AI?
No. It uses deterministic scripts for summaries, checklists, a sample email rewrite and a code explanation. Unknown prompts get an honest fallback. Nothing connects to an LLM.
Can it access my files or apps?
Not this website. The three windows are editable examples inside the page. Apply changes only to that example. The native app separately requires signing, OS permissions and deliberate configuration.
What stays private in the demo?
Prompt and document text stay in this tab’s memory, not storage or the URL. No analytics, third-party assets or inference endpoints. GitHub hosts the static site. Copy writes only after you explicitly click Copy.
How does the native app handle safety?
Native actions validate the original target, focus, ownership, geometry and live permissions. Credential input defaults off. Deletion checks are defense in depth, not a filesystem sandbox; trusted extensions are arbitrary code. Full accessibility, live-model and distribution acceptance are still pending.
